Located past the core of the historic downtown of west branch. Private parking lot shared with other business including tractor supply. The exterior is a bit shabby... chipping paint etc. not run down but not polished or bold. Smells delicious the moment you step inside. The interior is cute and decorated with bold punches of color, definitely a family Asian cuisine style you'd expect. We sat in a table next the fireplace. The waitress was amazing, very friendly and talkative. She was helpful upon selecting our meals after we told her it was our first time trying the restaurant. I'm picky with Thai honestly... I have a place in the Detroit area that no other has ever managed to beat..... in anyway. Since moving out of Detroit to GR then now up north... I've tried it all. Northern Michigan is slim pickings for any Asian cuisine beyond a Chinese buffet haha. This place is the BEST Thai food I've had up here (tried in grayling, Gaylord and traverse area establishments)!!! We ordered lunch portions of a coconut curry chicken dish with fried rice and drunken noodles with beef. Medium spice and it was very spicy but we love spice so no complaints just be aware that all places define spice levels differently. We shared steamed dumplings also and had hot tea. Everything was great. Pricing was comparable for portions and quality.
Only complaint: the "bubble tea" was nasty. Undrinkable. My mom and I shared it and got it to go. The waitress explained that it wasn't the traditional take on it... there's coconut pearls mixed in to the blend instead of tapioca balls. We have never tried the traditional version so I decided to give it a go. I believe we got straw berry but there were around 7 fruit options. My mom was turned off by the texture even though that sort of the expected fun part... the coconut chunks are gooey like a wet gummy bear. They don't melt in your mouth like the traditional would. The flavor was powerful and way too sweet. I don't recommend this drink but I do recommend the restaurant itself! -

Late lunch, place was in need of cleaning, yet help was lacking, so no judgment there. Wait was a bit but, the food was fantastic...thier egg drop soup was on point, i ordered the Red curry noodles with chicken med, and it was tantalizing to the palette...the flavors were sweet yet spicy, and the chicken was thin so that neither chicken or sauce overwhelmed each other, and the medium spicy was enough to get my attention...a must try. .venture toward the Thai side. You can do Chinese anywhere.

Great establishment run by authentic peoples of Asia. Always quick to please and ensure guests have a great experience. They also cater and support large parties or events as well. They even have a banquet room in the rear of the restaurant for large groups or parties on site. I have utilized their facilities multiple times and all have been pleasant experiences.

I was craving vegetables on my drive downstate. I trusted the review of the guy Who said he eats Thai food regularly and finds this place to be authentic. I feel badly saying so, but the red curry
Tasted so bad I couldn't even eat it.I I am not sure what they use for the sauce. I make mine with canned coconut milk and red curry paste I order from Thailand via Amazon. I have been to Thailand. I know authentic Thai food. I really wanted to appreciate this place. It may be good for people who are unfamiliar with traditional Asian cooking, but if that is what you are expecting, this is not the place for you. A sign on the door advertised for help at the restaurant. It is clear that is necessary, as the floor was filthy, and most of the tables needed busing. My daughter, got pad see u and is a sugar freak and said her noodles tasted like candy. This is not a good thing, either. I will end on a good note by saying the shrimp were plump and cooked properly. They were also deveined, which I truly appreciated. The woman at the counter was kind and friendly. I hate leaving a bad review and would never wish to hurt a business. I share this experience for people like me who are passing through and wanting authentic food. -

I will never eat here again. Horrible food, weird setting, and a waste of money. I do NOT recommend this restaurant at ALL. Drive to China Inn and you will be pleased.
